Can you tell us a little about yourself and how you started writing children’s books?
After receiving a Master's Degree in The Science of Learning my natural choice was to apply that knowledge to helping children learn by deploying a new and research method called a Tunnel Book.

What inspired your first story, and what inspires you now?
I knew children were crazy about "Barney", the purple Dinosaure. Dinosaurs are always a favorite with children around the world. They are always finding new sites with Dinosaur Bones. Just as I write SPIKE was undercovered according to @BBC NEWS.

Do you focus on a particular age group or genre in children’s literature?
No, my ambition is to cover all ages for learning and storytelling chapter books as well as Tunnel Books.

What do you enjoy most about writing for children?
I enjoy giving children researched true content.

How do you develop your characters and story ideas?
Story ideas flow to me from my own childhood days.

Do you collaborate with illustrators, and what is that process like for you?
I do all my own illustrations.

What themes or messages do you hope children take away from your books?
How to make them aware of the good things in life that can help them learn and survive to become responsible adults.

Is there one book you’ve written that holds a special place in your heart? Why?
My very first Tradtional Book: ITSY-BITSY CLOUD
I was very worried about a friend. and he said, "Why are you looking at me? Don't look at me. Write, write, write." He left this Earth on the same day I received an email from a publisher, "Your manuscript has been accepted for puplication, congradulations from UKIYOTO Publishing."
